                Looking Ahead

July 5th - This Sunday is our Special Independence Day Service where we will mark the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America.  From the Churchwide ELCA here is an explanation of why this is important:

"The 2026 semiquincentennial of the signing of the Declaration of Independence arrives at a fraught time in the nation’s history. While ELCA worship resources in general refrain from commemorating Independence Day as a liturgical occasion outside of intercessory prayer, this milestone anniversary and its broader national context

present a unique situation. In witness to the church’s ardent stand against Christian nationalism in its various and insidious forms, and for this specific occasion that both celebrate and lament our nation’s history, affirm the reality of the current moment, and seek to unite the diverse body of Christ for the life of the world - we invite you to join us in Worship this Sunday."

Following Service there will be Fellowship Hour to share American Pies and Ice Cream with our July Birthday members and complete our Independence Day celebration.

Sunday, July 12 – Church Council Meeting following Service.

Sunday, July 19 – Communion Service with Pastor Eric Shafer from

Global Refuge. Special Offering will be collected in addition to our regular offering.
