LUTHERAN CHURCH of the CROSS

Participating and partnering in projects in our community and beyond

• St. John’s Program for Real Change—serving dinners at the women’s and children’s shelter
• WIND Center for Homeless Teens—  hosting a special meal and providing backpacks with personal items
  
• River City Community Services—donations to the food closet
• Fortunate Feast Sacramento-Sponsoring and volunteering at the holiday feast

•  Rock Point Navajo Mission—trips to Navajoland with projects that include vaccinating sheep and goats; building projects; first aid and CPR instruction; community dinner. Sponsoring school tuition; providing students with schools supplies and clothing
• Sacramento Food Bank--—providing a rest area and snacks to runners participating in the Run to Feed the Hungry
• Blue Star Moms, Folsom—sending “care” packages to active duty troops

In addition our members independently volunteer in many more community activities

Assisted by Thrivent Financial--a non-profit fraternal benefit society that puts its funds from financial projects into worthy community endeavors
